Question about slow service

Well, found out yesterday that my trailer was finally done and ready for pickup. I'll be going up Monday to pick it up, and hopefully it will have everything repaired. It's been almost 17 weeks sense we dropped it off on 4/15/2014. It was almost 2 months before the warranty people approved the work on 6/10/2014 but it took CW another 2 months to finally do the repairs.

What seemed to get the warranty people moving was a call to Gail, the Flagstaff CW service manager, where we bought the trailer. She's a super person to deal with. I asked if there was something she could do and she said she'd try, 2 days later the work was approved, I just wish my trailer was there and not at the CW in Mesa,Az.

I'll be glad to get our trailer back after almost 4 full months in the shop. With that said, I could not recommend anyone waste the money on a GS extended warranty, or on the Mesa, Az CW service department for that matter. If I could say anything positive about all this it would be about the Flagstaff CW and the new service manager, Gail.

Well, I talked to the warranty people today and looks like they finally approved MOST of the work. Some of it I really didn't expect them to cover, and didn't know it had gone through them. But the main parts were covered. We bought it at the Flagstaff CW and the work needed was due to the prior service manager, who no longer works there, not taking care of it before we got it. So I finally broke down and called the new Flagstaff service manager and ask if there was anything she could do to help. Strangely enough the next day work got approved. Still don't have our TT back but at least the parts are on order now and the work is approved. I have to give most, if not all, the credit for getting the ball rolling to the new service manager in the Flagstaff CW.

I would like to think that mine is an isolated incident and it should normally work like you said persy2005 but, I don't know.

I had the Good Sams extended warrenty and went to McClains rv to have work done, which is right next door to CW in Fort Worth, I needed my RV asap and McClains told me that the way it works with the warrenty is they submitt claim and if not answered or someone with the warrenty people do not come out after 48 hrs then the claim is approved and work done and payed for, had refridgerator, and steering thrust linkage replaced this way and no problems. had rig back in 1 week. Hope your was finally taken care of, problem seems to be CW.

So am I Brian. It's the first time I've had Good Sam's and the first time I've used it. They sure aren't making any brownie points yet, but that could change.

I am new to Good Sam and just requested a quote for the extended service plan.

I am curious to see how this is resolved. Please keep us posted.

Would not be at all surprised if your problem was more with the Camping World center rather than with the extended warranty company. The problem with leaving your rig there is they figure you are not in a big hurry and they move small quick jobs in front of you. Stay on them!!

Oh, heck no. I wouldn't let them off the hook that easily after 2 months. Email Marcus Lemonis marcus@campingworld.com .Give him a chance to become involved and you'll (hopefully) get some resolution. Good luck!

The letter idea sounds like a good idea, been thinking it was getting time to consult a lawyer about this anyway. But might be easier just to cancel the warranty, get the trailer back and take it somewhere more reliable. Not sure yet which way to go but need to do something before long.
