Auto leveling jacks

My HWH system does not pressurize the whole system when the jacks are down. When the system is shut off the jacks are the only things pressurized.

What is the whole system you mention? There is only the pump, the 4 lines and the 4 jacks. The Jacks AND the Lines have pressure when the jacks are extended. Slide rooms (HWH) ALWAYS have pressure either extended or retracted. Doug

That link says NOTHING about when and if pressure is on the system and says nothing about only the jacks having pressure. Doug(HWH certified since 1994). Jacks DOWN mean extended. When UP(retracted) there is NO pressure on the jack system at all, but there will always be pressure on a HWH slide room. Doug

It does not hurt them. BUT, it is BEST to cycle the Hydraulic system at least once a month, to keep the seals pliable. Even if full time cycle your systems once a month. Doug

I think if I was going to store mine I would take up the load off the tires with the jacks then put solid blocks of wood under the axel or solid parts then retract them.
That is one of the reasons tires do not last as long on an rv, sitting for long periods of time on one spot.

Depends on what I am doing. We store beside the house and if we are in and out a lot then yes. Never in winter as snow and freezing can be a problem. Tire manufactures as I recall ,tell you to use max sidewall recommended tire pressure when storing and cover them.
