X2 it seems so easy doesn't it. - bullydogs1ExplorerThis is the thing that gets to me..The manufacturer doesn't care..how many purchases did they cost them that have read this...?...they don't care..oh we will take care of it?...the thing shouldn't have left the factory that way and for their embarrassment they don't go out of the way for the customer....????

WOW! I feel your pain. I hope they straighten this situation out for you. That manufacture should be embarrassed putting out a product like that. I have to say thanks for posting this though it may help someone else out that is considering one of these. Wish you the best of luck.
Steve & Sally,

- 93mastercraftExplorer IIThe paint shop was 50 miles away. But it's the only one around with a booth big enough for an RV. It's a Heavy Duty truck dealer.
- GrooverExplorer IIBefore you give up ask Thor about getting it painted properly. I hate to admit that I scratched mine right off the bat. I wanted it fixed right so I asked who in the area fixes Corvettes and took it to him. It looks beautiful now. Thor might cover that but you will not know unless you ask.

Then I guess you are going to get what you get and have to put up with it, like it or not.
Unfortunately, that's the truth. I tried working with customer service at Thor. I even offered to trade for up to a Challenger to get out from under the "factory second" Daybreak I'd purchased. That was curtly rejected. Now I'm glad it was rejected as I've talked to one owner and read other horror stories on that unit and have since discovered that I'm not in this quandary by myself. Ultimately, prior to dumping it as a trade in, I got an offer from Thor by registered mail offering me $2,000 for my "inconvenience". On advise, I didn't even bother to respond to their insulting letter. - wny_pat1Explorer

Take it to Xtreme Paint & Graphics in Nacogdoches, TX. They will do it right (better than factory) and you will not have to worry about it.
So, now the Palazzo needs paint work. How do I inspect this paint work? How do I know it is painted back to factory specs? Does anyone know what kind of paint is used on these RV's? What is the best way to inspect this paint job?
Well, That's kinda hard to do when mine is under warranty and they now have to paint it again due to all the parts that have been replaced on the slide out due to failures. It's sitting at a paint shop that CW uses. I am sure I don't have much of a choice here. - bullydogs1ExplorerThere is a shop here that does boats and RV's..great work and have seen his results...I know you are not near here but get name of shop...then go over and look BEFORE it goes back to CW..I feel your pain and wish I could make it easier for you.
