- ScottGNomadLooks there's only enough counter space to make one small sammich at a time.
- tragusa3ExplorerWe were just going n the market for used and bought one this weekend. Good suggestions so far. 34’ even with two A/C’s is not fantastic. I was recommended to stay clear of Thor by a Thor dealer. The biggie for us was deciding our price range. If we spent enough to have a 2015, we would just go all the way to get the 6 speed. If we gave up the six speed, we would shop several years older and save money. We bought a 2011.

are you saying that a 30 ft. motorhome HAS to be 50 amp to be acceptable? my 32 and 34 footers were just fine with 30 amp service.

YOU don't live in Texas. I have 38 years of dealing with Motorhomes OVER 26 foot long. NONE including Ducted will cool a motorhome adequately in higher than 90 degree temps with 1 AC even a 15k. I have never had a customer happy with a larger than 26 foot RV with 1 AC even a 15k. Doug
I agree that 2 ACs is preferred, the issue was 30 amp being inadequate. However I ran 2 ACs on 30 amp service in my last two Class As. using your logic, 30 amp RVs shouldn't be sold south of Canada? and since my daughter lives in TExas I have plenty of time spent there in my RV. I would consider ducted to be detrimental also.
the OP lives in NY.

Doug- Dale_TravelingExplorer IIAce models seem to be either problem free or are a prominent fixture at an RV service center. Which this coach is you won't know until you get it home. With the low usage there's no telling if all the factory installed problems have been discovered and fixed considering Thor's warranty has long since expired.
Offer the seller $57.5K but I wouldn't spend more than $60K.
Personally I would pass and look for a coach built on a 2016 chassis to get the six speed transmission if you intend to go with a gas powered coach. - T18skyguyExplorerI would bet it's a perfectly functional entry level unit, but they either want to move up to a better rig, or they have learned the hard way that a rig that size needs 2 air conditioners. The whole things pointless when it's too uncomfortable to stay in. 30 amp service in that rig is very limiting, but in other rigs it's not, depending on the size of the AC units etc.

Also is this priced right ?
Might give $40K for it, but I'd have to want it first, after comparing it with other's in that price range.
I've found that these rigs, can be bought for under NADA low retail, if you do it right. - BumpyroadExplorer

2. Just 1- 15k AC. See number 1 above
3. 4k Genset, see number 1
4. Good motorhome for moderate climates and use. NOT so great for temps 90 and above.
I find it interesting he states he has a Winegard Sat finder, then states it is NOT included in the price. WHY mention it then??????
4. Iowa Dealer has the identical motorhome for 4k more and 12k miles. But, you buy from the Iowa dealer, who has a great reputation, you get all the legal protections buying from a Dealer gives you. Doug - wannavolunteerFExplorerI have seen bad things about the ACE, but I don't know that all that I heard was due to MH. I believe a lot may be due to the person buying it. That being said ACE is entry level gas by Thor, I bought a 38ft top of line GAS by Forest River of the same year for $78K. I will say I had been looking for several months and almost bought a Thor but the inspection I hired showed several lack of regular maintenance issues and I passed. I had RVT and RVTrader set up to send me notices of new ads for the floorplans I was interested in and contacted the seller with an offer (contingent on inspection) within hours of their ad being posted. It was a week before I could go look at it, and put a deposit at that time.
