Kweeky Step, What model # ?

I need to know what is the model # of the Kwicky Step I have on my 34 foot, 2006 National RV, SurfSide (DE34D) Class'A' MoHo on the Ford F53 chassis? It has 2 steps. My step has a problem of not opening, sometimes. I've been temporily fixing it by pounding on the motor with a rubber mallet while the DW opens & closes the door. (How do U spell Kwicky)?
I'm trying to find out what motor it uses since there are no #'s or name plate on it.:?
  • It sounds like you have a bad ground connection on the motor. Check all the wire nut connections for the step motor and controller.
  • Motor is worn out. Take it off & take it to NAPA. This site and others have many posts on how to find the right one but quickest & easiest is let the counter guy match it up. Most likely a Ford left window lift motor. I got mine from Amazon for $44
  • Please...as per my msg. I need to know the model # of my step. Kwikee can't do anything without a model #. I already know I need a new motor...not how to troubleshoot it. Thanks anyways.
  • FOUND IT!!! I did a GOOGLE search for the Kwikee # 1101428. Thats IT! Got it from RV Supply Parts for $59.& change. Someone had posted that Dorman # 742-206 was the replacement, but the pictures on the Dorman site are not the one I have.
Someone also listed the replacement from NAPA # BK655-1395, but their site cannot locate any such item #. Thanks all.
  • Got mine from a auto junk yard for ten bucks. I think it was from a Lincoln.
  • The 1101428 is an exact replacement. No need for modifying or filing or adjusting gears.
