- lakings10ExplorerPalazzo blues I feel your pain. I just traded in my pos 14 Palazzo on a new Fuzion 404. I can't tell you how shocked I was with the quality control and fit and finish of my Fuzion. It was night and day constructed 100% better.
I sleep better at night knowing i rid myself of the worst thing ive ever spent money on.
Im going to post on the other site and see how long it lasts until its removed or Im banned. - workhardplayha1Explorer

That said, IMHO, Thor, and IIRC, Camping World, stepped up to the plate and replaced the coach. I'm not sure any other mfg would have done that.
Yes, it probably took the tech longer to find the tape and put it on the screw than it would have been to find a small block of wood and do it right, but while you spent a bunch of money on a coach, IMHO, at that price point you're going to get things like that. High quality techs cost more, which raises the price of the end product. Fords are cheaper than Lamborghinis. Fix it yourself, move on and enjoy what time you have left on this earth....Dennis
I've owned Fords since I've been old enough to suck my thumb. I have never had as many problems with Ford's as I have with Thor. IMHO, it is a disgrace to put what they have put on a Freight liner Chassis.
One big difference is a car or truck is built on an automated assembly line with parts that are put together with very tight tolerances. RV's are not built that way.
I feel your pain. I went through a lot of problems with mine. Some were fixed by the dealer in a long drawn out process. Many times I would find the dealer either did a poor job making the repair or made more problems while fixing the original problem. In the end I fixed the remaining problems myself.
When you are posting about your RV, talking to the manufacturer or putting videos on youtube you have to keep emotions out of it. I know it is hard with the $$$$ you have into your RV but you have to do it.
Fix everything and get out and start having some positive experiences with your beautiful motor home. - et2Explorer

I'm still perplexed by the reason for this post and your You Tube presentation. What exactly are you trying to accomplish???
You claim you want people to know about it. What really throws me off is there were (are) plenty of You Tube warnings you chose to ignore before you purchased. Why did you purchase yours with all the red flags available to you at the click of a button? What makes you think your You Tube video will really persuade many people not to make the same mistake you did. You didn't heed the warnings.
For what it's worth we've had plenty of problems with most RV's we've owned. - 2bzy2cExplorer IINot sure what you are trying to say. Ford does not build RV's. Neither does Freightliner. I thought your problems were with the house portion of the coach.
If that is the case, then it's a Thor problem (we already know that) - 93mastercraftExplorer

Extended warranty will not cover a slide which is the Achilles heel on the palazzo. Just sayin.
Here is one which does. Where are you getting your information? They aren't going to cover the structural portion itself or the normal wear items. But the mechanicals are. Could you elaborate more?

And another - some wear items aren't covered or the actual structure.
http://www.goodsamesp.com/whatiscovered.aspx - holstein13Explorer93mastercraft,
I can not thank you enough for posting your concerns in this forum and on youtube. When I first saw the Palazzo, I thought it might work for my family.
But after reading about your ordeal and seeing the other guy's video on the slides, I decided to forget about getting an entry level diesel pusher and went with the highest end diesel pusher made by Newmar.
I think forewarned is forearmed. You are a pioneer who has suffered the slings in order to protect those of us who follow behind you.
--Paul - BobRExplorerI feel for 93mastercraft. He may be wearing his feelings on his sleeve but I think he is burned out and most of us would react the same way if we were in his situation. I too felt he was using the internet to bully Thor in the past, but now feel his intentions are to warn others.
The best he can do is to repair items as he goes along and hopefully learns to like the Thor but at this point it will be no easy task. 93mastercraft wrote:

The Schwintek Slide system is definitely where all the problems began.

Please respond. Is this the NEW replacement motorhome you waited weeks to get? Are you having problems with the slideouts on this new motorhome also? Doug
