I too like the truck lane if available except there is usually a lot of spilled oil and diesel to contend with plus i find most truckers simply will not pull forward till there good and ready to which can be
trying.The faster pumps are nice but Iam finding that the new to newer regular vehicle pumps are a lot faster than the older ones
I always use ease of access in and out as my first measurement of where to fuel

I usually drive solo as I use my RV as a place to live while at work 5 months out of the year. I drive Florida to Arizona and have a toad. I never use the car lanes always the truck lanes. For me it is safer and faster.

Some of the best conversations I have had is with truckers while refueling.

It's funny all right because I was thinking the blue Amex card. DW and I were discussing this and we need to recheck using Amex at FJ truck pumps. It will be a number of weeks before this is possible. Sorry for any confusion.

I use the pilot/flyingj plus card. We always use the truck lanes to fuel. We are able to fuel on both sides. We have a 150 gallon tank. I used to be an otr driver and never had any problems with rv's using the truck lanes. I always enjoyed talking to the rv owner. I learned a lot from them and have used that knowledge to buy the rv we have.

Nice that you don't have to go inside.

I get 3 cents/gallon off of the cash price, go inside pay with my Penfed CC and get 5% cash back at the next billing cycle. I'll continue to walk inside to get the 5% cash back. And sometimes there is a line so I just "people watch"!

I had a problem in Indiana. They said I needed a dot permit to buy fuel in truck lanes. They said there was lots of room out front. I easily could have blocked the whole place, but I just continued to Illinois. I won't use anything but truck lanes unless not towing, then I might think about it if I have all day.

We have never used either the RV or truck pumps. Always use the end pumps out front.

DW goes in and tells the clerk $500.00 on pump #__. Gets me coffee and a bite.

I lock pump on and clean the windshield, clean the front end, check the tow bar and hookup and if I am finished before DW come back simply pull out of the way.

Note that we are only charged for the amount used not the whole $500.00. Use the AMEX Blue Card and in the end get a good discount.

We have a 2012 Tour & towed vehicle. We mostly use Loves.

When fueling, I always set the slave at a faster fill so it will finish first and then know when the driver's side is full, I'm completely topped off. Make sure to pull the hoses out of the way when you're done fueling and pull forward to let trucks behind to start. Often get comments or thumbs up on our rig from the OTR drivers. I don't use the slave pump as I lean my coach to the passenger side on the airbags so that I can get every last drop in the tank from the driver's side.
