Standard party line response for Lippert! It's NEVER their fault. Don't you know that, lol??? They will never admit it's their fault. The only way to ever force their hand is to get an independent report by an expert.
Frame cracks on Lippert FW and TT frames is well documented all over the internet. From I have seen and experienced, their frames are terrible. Some of them can barely hold up the dry weight of the TT before it even leaves the factory. They are often lacking adequate or any re-enforcement in the area of the axles. Cross-bracing is typically inadequate. Welding is also typically substandard. It's a dirty little secret of the frame building industry. Regrettably, Lippert has over 90% of the market.
As I have said before, the real problem is the complete lack of any design standards in the industry and a frame manufacturer can do whatever they want and not have to answer to anyone. And they do just that - they do want they want and get away with it.
Forget about talking to Lippert. You need to talk to the right person at KZ. At the end of the day, I think the best thing to do is take it to a reputable, qualified and experienced frame shop. I had a frame shop tell me that they can do some remedial work on a frame, but it will never be what it should have been like to start with. I say this because I think it's important to study and analyze the best approach to it rather than slapping on some metal here and there. You could always get a frame shop to come up with a design for you and shouldn't cost much for that. I honestly think having a frame shop at least inspect it is a good thing because you may discover things you wouldn't have known otherwise.

Well I just talked to Lippert and the tech guy acted like I was talking to him in Greek. He claimed he was unaware of the frame issues and since my trailer was out of warranty couldn't help me. I called BS on that and had him transfer me to the parts department. I spoke to a nice lady there that was aware of the problems and pulled up the lip sheet documenting the repairs required. She is sending me two plates so I can make the repairs. She did charge me for them but they were only $9 so no big deal. At least I'm starting to make some headway now.
