Norcold 1200 not lighting on LP.

It was working fine. Cools fine on AC.

Took it in to have popped hose on hot water heater fixed and when I got it home the fridge won’t light. It doesn’t even try. They had to turn lp off but I bled the lp by lighting the range.

Tried it several times.

Does fridge and hwtr share a fuse?

I looked at the main DC panel. No blown fuses.

2005 Fleetwood Expedition.

  • UPDATE.
Bad igniter. The metal slid out and was shorting on sheet metal.

New igniter on the way Prime $15.

    Thanks to all.

My Norcold appears to be belly up. Getting an error code "cooling unit inopertive." Don't know if your problem could be similar. My unit would not work on propane, but would work on shore power. Then, after a couple of days, it would not work on anything and I was getting the above error code. Mine may be an anomaly, and yours could be entirely different, but who knows?

You are NOT getting a code --Cooling Unit inoperative. NO SUCH CODE. And I told you on another or your posts, NO RV refer has a cooling unit failure code. You either have NO CO, or Li-OP.
1.NO CO means NO cooling and you have a problem that you failed to fix and the refer controls have locked you out until you do a hard reset and find and fix the problem
    2. Li OP is the same as NO CO, just an updated message on newer 1200 control systems.

They both mean finds the failure of why the Refer failed to cool correctly and once that is done you reset the failure code. Doug

  • Fuse is NOT the issue.......nor does it have anything to do with Water Heater

Two separate appliances with their own controls

You have DC otherwise the AC would not work nor would you have display/lights or the NO LP error code

No sparking then issue is with circuit board 'gas' circuit.
DC goes to spark electrode and gas valve at same time when lighting off.....
  • No clicking. Works fine on AC.

    No codes. Says NO LP.
I’m going to tap the gas valve in the AM.

My brain wants to connect the water heater repair with the fridge not working but it may be a coincidence.
  • IF it is working fine on AC then the fridge has DC

DC is needed to function on electric or propane

You said it 'doesn't even try'............do you mean NO SPARK or it has spark but NO FLAME??

What error codes are you getting?
