water pump does not pump

Good to hear that your pump is working fine. Now get out camping!

Do you have a valve to fill your fresh water tank? If so, check to make sure it is the correct position.

Here is a diagram that may help.



If the clear hose with valve is the same as the diagram (antifreeze suction line) then turn off that valve and open the valve from Water Holding Tank.

Double check and make sure the in-line water valve that you likely turned off when installing is turned back on. Same water valve that one turns off before they attach the hose that sucks up pink stuff for winterizing.

Thanks for the information Dennis, yes it is hooked up properly and makes the same pumping noise as the one I replaced. Going to try your in and out. Got to try something.

Take it one step at a time. First, does the pump turn on? If yes, do you have it connected properly? (i.e. IN and OUT lines correct and not reversed) If they are correct, disconnect the OUT line and activate pump. Does water pump? If yes, look at the OUT line valve. Is it turned ON. Usually though, the valve is there to turn off the water while you change the pump. I'm guessing you may have the in and out reversed. Confirm that please. Is there a in-line strainer that needs cleaning? Finally, what else did you touch while changing out the pump? Thanks Dennis
