How to add outside fold down shelf for propane grill

I have a new Nexgrill propane grill and would be interested in adding a fold down shelf for it rather than using a portable table. Has anyone done this and how? How do you attach it to the side of the camper?

BUMPY - made me chuckle here. I was moving around some boxes getting ready to throw out all my junk in the garage and start over again. I have two boxes in my garage with those side mounted grills in them - never opened haha... Maybe the grandkids can use them

I got my COLEMAN ROADKILL or ROADTRIP maybe is the proper name. It sets up stand alone under the awning but away from the side of the trailer... This comes in a roll around tote and has several additional different grill tops. Use the 1LB propane canisters which is great for me as this makes always have a few of those canisters on hand all the time. Runs my backup MR Buddy heat source..

  • IMHO attaching a grill onto the side of a RV is not a good idea. grease and smoke if under awning, I'd rather be able to move it to table where grease wouldn't matter. my grill came with the brackets and I haven't even installed them and have no plans to.

ALot of trailers come with the quick connect angle piece on the side of the trailer with an optional outside GRILL.

You can adapt this to a table top and sit your grill on it perhaps...

Here is link for a RV.NET post showing what one dude did..

I personally am not a fan of having HOT flames near my trailer but see alot of folks doing it...

  • My Rockwood came with a table It has a rail on one edge that attaches to the same rail the grill is on. It has a fold-down leg to stabilize it.
Here's a pic of my outside kitchen set up. The table has a "tree" clamped on it to hold paper towels, spices and utensils. (Ignore the clown on the left.)
