Water Leak - Refrigerator Vent?
Hi all,
I recently purchased a travel trailer (Aerolite 824 FBR) from the family of a co-worker that passed away. He had only used for a few weeks and then he parked it. The trailer had not been moved or used for 2 years.
I have taken the trailer to a campground near the job-site on which I'm working and I'm effectively living in it. I apologize that the outside is filthy, but I'm still getting set up.
I knew that one of the windows (on the door side near the front) had leaked and there was some water damage in the area. But, he had packed the area around the window with silicone and it hasn't leaked since. So , I knew that I need to remove the silicone and properly repair the window and water damage.
And, I knew that the door window had been broken by some thieves and he had just placed a tarp to keep water from getting in. I have fixed this already.
But, I did not know that there was a water leak in the area of the bathroom. And, I'm not 100% sure where it is coming from.
When I go into the closet in the bathroom I can see that the linoleum is lifting and the plywood is soaked. The floor in front of the sink is incredibly soft.
I went onto the roof and I don't see anything on the roof surface that really stood out to me, but I'm fairly new to this.
One thing that I did observe though is the vent for the refrigerator appears to be broken. The refrigerator is located just beside the bathroom door.
Is it possible that water could enter here and leak onto the bathroom floor? Is there any kind of drainage in these vent systems?
Any suggestions where else I might check for a leak in this area?
I appreciate any help!
