- tkcas01ExplorerI've been impressed by my micro/convection combo. Makes canned biscuits and other baked goods just fine. For me I typically use the longest bake time recommended on the package, but other ovens might be different.
- naturistNomadGiven that it is a combination microwave and "regular" oven, you can do anything with it. My experience, too, has been that in convection mode it takes a little bit more baking than the recipe calls for, but it works just fine allowing for that.
You asked about biscuits. No problem. Put it into convection mode, and if the recipe calls for 8-12 minutes at 400, give it the full 12 minutes, but be ready to throw 'em back in for a couple more if they aren't quite done enough. We've baked winter squash in ours: 45 minutes baking time did the trick. - HappytravelerExplorerJust remember a convection oven is an oven with a fan, it will distribute heat evenly. At home I sometimes turn the temp. down by 25 degrees. If the recipe calls for 350 I will bake at 325. I've really never experience longer bake time with certain foods.

- WyoTravelerExplorerAt home we have a Viking range. Been married for 40 years. Got our MH last Jan. DW baked some cookies in the convection/microwave. First time I have had cookies that weren't done on top and burned on the bottom. DW is thinking about throwing that $5000 Viking range in the trash and buying a convection/microwave for our home. It does most everything that Viking range does and better.
- havinablastExplorerThank you. So this may be a dumb question lol, but...you have to use glass only correct?

No, you can use metal, also. But not with the microwave. - tkcas01ExplorerOne other thought - does yours have the mixed mode where it does both convection and micro? If so, that is nice especially when cooking meats - speeds up cooking time. Again, in that mode you cannot use a metal cooking dish. I also tend to not use that mode if cooking meet with soup or cheese sauce on it - tends to make the sauce want to run off.
- SWMOExplorerWe had one in our MH and we liked it. We backed the temp off about 10% when baking.
- anninsd2ExplorerI use the my motor home convection oven part of the microwave oven just like I do my regular oven at home.
1. PRE HEAT the oven temperature you desire. You can hear it shut off when it is heated.
2. Once it is preheated HIT CONVEC and put in the temperature again.
3. Put in the length of time you want your item to bake
4. Put your item in the oven on the rack to bake
5. Shut the door and HIT START
Now I don't lower the temperature but I do shorten the cooking time, by 5 to 10 minutes.
