Sometime ago after a long walk we came back to RV and the odor of propane was very strong and alarm did not go off. Turns out old alarm was 6 years old, so time for a new one. New alarm tests “OK” following the manufacture instructions. But I stil...

The Eternabond Blues......

I've used Eternabond Tape while patching/ repairing my 20 year old rubber roof and have, initially, been quite impressed with the product. I mostly used it to cover the joint between the aluminum siding and roof membrane after lifting off the rubber ...

Dexter Torflex Axle

Would like to service wheel bearings and brakes and was wondering if the Dexter Torflex axle can be driven onto leveling blocks in order to raise one wheel off the ground for servicing. Prefer to not raise both wheels at the same time.

Fortunately, I did not have a pair of 6v batteries

Well, the fact I had a pair of 12v batteries in parallel rather than a pair of 6v batteries in series kept me from having a serious problem on the road. When I exercised the generator in June, all was well. When I tried to exercise the generator in Ju...

Antique battery?

I found this in a little garbage pile in the bush near a summer camp that I think is from the 1940's or 50's. The location suggests it might have been from a "lighting plant" or generator supplying the camp.It appears to be a two cell battery! Anyo...
