All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRoadside AssistanceBack in Feb of this year, I had a flat tire on my Jeep Liberty. Called Good Sam Roadside Assistance and I was answered electronically. Prompted for different selections on the phone, waiting patiently for a person that I can talk to. Nobody came on the phone but the prompts/questions continue (electronically of course) Since I had this policy, I have used this service a few times, and every time I called, a person would be on the other end and since my phone number is on the system, he or she would already address me by name. Then whatever service or assistance I need would be taken care of. But with the recent encounter I had with this service, is this how you respond now with any request for assistance, electronically or texts? This is not what I expect or what I thought I would receive when I am calling. Anyway, I had to call for roadside assistance on my own during that time, and paying for it on my own.Re: Returning CW.com ordered materialsGMandJM - unfortunately the CW store in Fife would not do any credit/nor accept any items ordered online; seaeagle2 - I still have the item, I just want to return it but the only paperwork in the box other than the manual is a shipping receipt that states what it is and where it's going to, no info on where/or what company this came from. Unlike other online stores (Amazon, etc) that include return info/paperwork with the material. Fortunately, since posting this Tom from the Good Sam Care Team has contacted me and have assisted me with my problem. I will soon be returning the item and hopefully get credit for the charge. This is the second time I have posted a problem here that the Good Sam Care Team has taken care of the problem successfully. Kudos to the team!!!!Re: Returning CW.com ordered materialsYou know Tom, the reason why I'm posting this is that I can't get anything from Customer Service. I've been calling since Friday last week - first lady (Brittany) I got on the phone told me I would get a call from UPS???. They just delivered the item to me, I didn't order it from them. Last Tue, I called (after staying on line for 20 min)and Tammy answered and told me she will call me back when she get any instructions from another department. She never did call back that day so I called again Wed, and she again answered the phone. Apparently, she forgot that I talked to her and couldn't even remember she promised to call me back. I have to again repeat what my problem was and ask for a solution - she again told me she will get the info and call me back. So, do I have to call her again and repeat the process of getting a call back???Returning CW.com ordered materialsIt didn't give ma a warm & fuzzy feeling reading posts on this thread about problems with getting refunds on items ordered online with Camping World.com. But I've had problems that I posted here that were taken care of by the Rapid Response Team so I hope I would get some assistance. Ordered a Rear View Camera system online last month per recommendation from a Camping World associate in the Fife,WA store. Unfortunately, when I received the package and brought it to the CW store to have them installed it, the technicians found the camera is too big for the rear camera housing. Have called CW now three days and haven't been successful in talking to somebody that knows how I can return the item and get a refund. This is my first time ordering items with CW and I found out how hard it is to get assistance. Can somebody from the Rapid Response Team give me an assist???? Hopefully, RESRe: "Special Offers"Oh yeah, the hazards of those unsolicited mailings. I've quit ordering through casttalogs - it seems like once you start doing that, here comes all those catalogs from almost everybody out there. I think most companies sell those addresses they got from customers. I also have a suspicion even those non-profits and charitable organizations are doing it. I donated to one and lo and behold, here comes all those solicitations in the mail. So frustrating! RES1749Re: Motorhome Magazine Subscription DiscountIt wasn't this way before Bob. As what I've written, I've been a subscriber since 2001 where the magazine used to be almost an inch thick and full of informative articles for RV'ers. And not a lot of advertisements as compared to what it is now. The magazine now is almost half of what it used to, not a lot of readable and interesting articles. I understand advertisement pages are what's supporting the magazine for its survival - and of course the subscribers. But the way I've been treated, you think they have a lot subscribers that they don't care if anybody would stop getting their magazine. I don't think that makes a good viable business sense.Motorhome Magazine Subscription DiscountI have been a subscriber to Motorhome Magazine since 2001. Recently I inquired if there is a subscription discount for Lifetime Members - I was told there was a discounted price; for a regular 3-yr subscription it was $43.97 but for a Lifetime member for the same length of time, it was for $32.97. Trying to get the discounted price was problematic; the corporate office ladies told me I have to contact their Harlan, IA office to start the subscription. But I was told that I could not get the discounted pricing from the IA office and I have to get it from the CA office. Well, I guess they don't feel my subscription is valuable enough so that's it Mr. Bob Livingston. Your offices don't care about your subscribers.Re: Campfires aren't what they use to beVery nice comments/observations, crickeydog! A good camping neighbor would have taken the time to talk to her and maybe offer some tips on proper camping procedures. And as a fellow military retiree myself, my wife and kids have also experienced family things like this without my presence.Re: YumaWe also have a place in Yuma that we've been wintering over for 6 years. For the whole time that I've been a member of this forum, there are always quite a few members that disparaged or make bad comments about Yuma. As with all the other Yuma winter residents, those naysayers can say all the "negatives" about our winter place, I/we don't care. Stay away and enjoy the place that suits you fine. And we'll do the same - enjoy what we've been enjoying so far!ERS Solicitation LettersUsed to be a long time subscriber for the GS ERS (or RA) IIRC for 11 years. A couple of years ago, I had to cancel my GS membership since we were decided to just camp within our state parks and without the 10% discount for camping in private RV parks, it's not worth the annual membership that I'm paying-basically the only benefit I was getting was for the Highways magazine, a quite expensive subscription. Anyway, still retained my RA/ERS subscription until somebody called me that since I was not a current member of GS, that I can't be a subscriber to their RA/ERS. Mind you, this after having been a subscriber for a long time. Anyway, enrolled in Coach-Net and just recently renewed again for 3 years. And since I cancelled my GS RA/ERS, almost every other week I received solicitation letters from GS to enroll in their RA/ERS. I would like to request the Admin Team to cease mailing me those letters as I am not planning on getting back on your RA/ERS program. On a positive note for GS RA/ERS, the whole time I was a subscriber and was using their services, they have provided a very outstanding response and service. I was satisfied but you cut me out so stop enticing me to join again.
