Everything is dead. Just like you would expect when you let the battery totally die. I drove it to where it is now a year ago and all was fine. Now nothing works. Put in new battery yesterday, and still nothing like something is turned off somewhere. I don't remember doing anything but exiting the coach when I parked it last year. I have no memory as to what is different or what extra thing I needed to do to make it start. That is why I am selling it, I just have no memory of how things work any longer.Old Timer w/ No Memory needs help starting '85 VogueCoachHave a Vogue '85 elite that I let set for a year. I now can't remember how to start it. The battery was dead and so I replaced it, but it still won't start like there is some switch or code I have forgotten to turn on. There is a keypad and I have a code written down but don't ever remember having to use it before. It doesn't seem to help me now anyway. Can someone, especially with a Vogue, help me remember how to start this coach.Which of these 2 Class C (B+) motorhomes has the best RepCoach House or Born Free I am looking to by a 24' of either one of these, both about 10 yrs old with low miles. Both around $50,000. Want to travel the country and live in full time. Important that it be small to park and maneuver easy, yet comfortable for a single person to enjoy a bit of quality and class in its appearance.Re: Class A MH vs 5th wheel/pu truck PghBob wrote: You noted that you will be traveling around the country, alone, with your dog. Based on that criteria, you could do that very well in a Class C and not need to worry about a toad. I had a lot of experience with my FIL's Class A, and our current Class C. Our 27 footer does quite well in cities, parking lots, and even camp ground sites where a Class A or a big fiver wouldn't fit. Our family does more traveling than camping in one spot. But, I think before you make a decision, you might want to consider how you will use it most of the time. If you choose to take it to a spot and not move it for a season, or months, then the fiver might be the best choice. That was my original plan, but now rather than spend that monthly RV park rent, I think simply traveling around from casino to casino would be more to my liking, staying a couple days at each maybe. I didn't plan on getting a car to tow if I go the MH way. I have a small scooter I would take on the back. It would be all I would need to go on small excursions.Class A MH vs 5th wheel/pu truckWhich would be most comfortable, easy to use, and best for living in while traveling around country for a few years? I am old, not so nimble or strong any longer. And I will be traveling all alone with dog.Re: RV Direct purchase laknox wrote: Since I'm also considering a Jayco, when I start to get down to brass tacks, I plan on talking to Jayco directly and flat-out asking them about warranty service and if they would authorize a certified mobile service to do work if a local dealer, whether home or on the road, won't service my rig in a timely fashion. Lyle What did you find out from jayco about send a mobile repair person out to your RV, rather than have to upend from permanent site and take it into be serviced?Re: forest river qualityCould someone please list in order of top of the line model to lowest end model of Forest River 5th wheels. It is funny that their site gives no indication of which units are better made or more luxurious than the others. No indication of which is top of line or whatever. If I had to guess I might say the Cardinal, but really not sure. Could you help me with this one. I want to by a new 5th wheel to live in the rest of my elderly life, and the price of the Forest Rivers is no object. It is either a new FR, or a used top of line like a Teton. I am impressed with what you all have raved about service with FR.Re: How much TT can I pull full time with a ...Okay, so I spring for a 1 ton NON-dually. I am disabled and need some comfort in driving. Which make truck do you think will give me the most comfortable ride over long distances. I don't really want to feel every crease in the road. I suppose I have always read that chevy's ride is the least harsh. What do you guys think? How much TT can I pull full time with a ...GMC Sierra Classic SLT 2500HD Crew Cab short bed with a Duramax LBZ Engine with Allison Transmission? I am hoping to buy a new 30-35 foot upper end 4 seasons travel trailer, probably one of the models made by Outdoors RV in La Grande, Oregon. I would like to have the truck purchased first so I can simply hook it up and take off for my new full time life of traveling. Would this truck be more than enough? or ideally will I wish I had a 1 ton dually diesel.
