I am looking for assistance from the experts on this forum. I just pulled the batteries on my 2007 Weekend Warrior FSW2800. I took them to the local auto part store to test and to my surprise they came back at 100%, so I saved a couple hundred for the year!Now comes the problem. Before I put them back in, I realized my 110 was plugged in, so to avoid problems I unplugged it. I heard one of the detector alarms go off, which I think is standard when they loose power? So I installed the batters 2 12 volt. Same process I use each year when I pull them to check? I went to the monitor to see what the batteries read, and the monitor is dark? I tried a few of the lights throughout the TH and lights are working. I check a few other items and fridge is dark, hot water won't ignite, generator has no power? I found the fuse box under the fridge along with the 12v shut off? (Didn't know that was there). Checked all the fuses and none are broke? Checked the 3 30 amp fuses by the battery and they all look good? The only common denominator I could identify is that all the items that are on the left side of the breaker block seem to work, and all the items with Black wires on the right side of the breaker block don't work? I don't know if anyone can arm chair identify areas I can look, but I'm getting ready to leave on Thursday next week and know I won't have time to get an appointment to get it looked at? (3 weeks out). I don't think it is anything serious, I honestly beleive it has to be a fuse that I haven't been able to identify. However, I'm far from an electrician,with only enough knowledge to get me in trouble. If anyone can provide some assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Any chance it's inline fuse right next to the battery? Mine used to be finicky.

Did you hook up the batteries backwards?Follow battery negative cable to frame ground....check that it is clean/tight.If you hooked up backwards.....swap cables then check the 2 large fuses on converter.they are 'reverse polarity' fuses and are probably blown also.With 120V unplugged..check for 12V DC on converter where battery cable connects.

But before I bought it, rented a 2007 fsw 2800 a few times from camp n style. So I can say my fsw 3200 is exactly identical in its electrical set up. A bad fuse doesn't always have to have a black spot on the burned up link. When i hear that someone has just hooked up their batteries I always think wrong polarity. It is so easy to do. Sometimes the manf will put their battery terminals on opposite sides just to mess with you I think...What I would do to make sure they are connected correctly is find the word NEG or the SYMBOL '-' on the battery case and hand trace those battery cables to the trailer frame ground connection that is very close to the battery terminals..If they have been connected in REVERSE POLARITY order they will blow the in-line fuse that is installed right at the battery terminals and also the two REVERSE POLARITY fuses located on the 12VDC Distribution Panel. Once you get all this confirmed then you can start looking at the other places for problems.The proper way the two 12VDC batteries connected in parallel should look like this...When all is connected proper you will have these readings using your multimeter. With the SHORE POWER TURNED OFF the battery DC VOLTS at the battery terminals should read 12.6-7VDC if the batteries are fully charged. When your turn on the SHORE POWER the DC VOLTAGE measured at the same battery terminals should jump up to 13.6VDC telling you the on-board converter/charger is functioning OK and that the battery are connected correctly.Roy Ken

Good points, I did go out and found that the fuse on the converter was blown and I replaced it. Now when plugged into shore power I get the monitor to work now as well as the fridge while plugged in. However, when not plugged in, I'm still in the same boat. However, thanks to the above diagram I noticed that maybe I have batteries hooked up wrong? I have both the house wires hooked up to the main battery and then the connecting wire hooked up to the second battery. So I'll try to change that up and see if it helps. I will also try to change all the fuses and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for all the input, but if you can think of something else, please feel free to post it. Thanks guys.

What about the master cutoff switch in the electrical compartment? I have cut 12VDC before when stowing my AC cord. Have you taken a meter reading at the DC fuse box to see if the supply side is getting power?

Okay, just to put an end to this mess, whoever said I had the polarity wrong and hooked the cables up backwards is a winner! That was the last thing I thought was wrong, you know, black is negative and red is positive, we'll not in this case. I finally figured the black cable was to the generator and had to be positive, so after switching them around, replacing the fuse for the 3rd time on the converter, I'm back in business. Thanks for all the input after reading everything it finally sunk in!

There has got to be a fuse I'm missing somewhere? If anyone knows of any other locations for a fuse on these things I would greatly appreciate it.

By the way,,, on most trailers, black is positive and white negative...
My bet, you have a battery neg or pos wire connected wrong.

Post a pic of your batteries, any/all connections on the wall next to the batteries, and all wires on batteries showing how you got them connected. That might help us see your problem...

We'll, I've looked at everything I can find. Tried to hook the batteries up per the picture and blew more fuses so I figured it wasn't that. I tried to isolate everything to one battery to see if I could figure it out? You guessed, nothing.

I don't know if it helps but I thought I would share what I'm working with. There are 2 black wires I'm connecting to the battery. One goes into a connector block near the battery box and there are no in line fuses. I have made sure the connection is solid. The second black wire goes into the floor and as I trace it, it appears to go to the on board generator (that won't fire). The white (positive) goes to the connector block near the battery as well and the several wires go off from there.

There has got to be a fuse I'm missing somewhere? If anyone knows of any other locations for a fuse on these things I would greatly appreciate it. I'm now going to go replace all the 20 amp fuses to see if maybe one just has a small crack?

My WW had a very bad connection on the negative lead from the battery to the frame. Did not discover it until the second time I pulled the batteries for maintenance.

Check for a GFI outlet. I have one by my bathroom sink that trips occasionally and shuts down the outlet to the converter.

When I purchased my WW and went on first camp out, it would lose all power when I disconnected from shore power. The alarms would go off. Ended up being the converter box. It took weeks to get the warranty fix. Perhaps the last warranty honored before they went under. It didn't do it when it was in storage but only after I plugged in at my first camp site.
