- rk911Exploreryou're 'sposed to wash them? seriously...i don't get up there anymore but sometimes the RV guys do. i do have the roof smoke-tested for integrity every year.
- chuckftboyExplorerWash mine once per year and keep it in an enclosed garage. Still gets dirty though.

Mine's outside. 24/7. - timmacExplorerMine sits under a shade structure but with the dust here in Vegas its not so white looking, what works best to bring back the bright white look, hosing off does very little.
- msturtzExplorerDepending on the roof type they are supposed to be washed every 6 months or so. It’s very important to keep the roof clean as it’s the only way to verify that the sealant is in good condition. I try to follow that schedule. I also inspect and reseal the roof on the same schedule. It’s far easier to keep up on the roof cleaning and maintenance than dealing with a leaking roof. I just inspected and resealed my sidewall a few weeks ago and I checked and resealed the roof earlier this year. I’m paranoid about water. It’s also why I have a mechanical dehumidifier in my coach.

What do you wash your roof with? - T18skyguyExplorerI inspect and wash mine once per year. I use Dawn dish detergent and a bucket of warm water and a hose.
- ItsyRVExplorerI have a small RV with a silicone roof. I do a full inspect and wash maybe twice a year with a terry cloth pad, tad bit of car wash soap in a spray bottle and just hose water to restore it to a gleaming clean surface. Otherwise a hose (and maybe a rag) is usually enough for regular cleanings, which are done as needed. If I'm getting regular rains, it cleans itself, but if I have multiple Haboobs rolling over me, I clean much more often.
I guess it all depends on your roofing material and the conditions that roof is under. - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe washed ours at least twice a year. How would you inspect your caulking/sealants if you don't get on the roof? Especially for a rubber roof it will last longer with washing.
- OldmapleExplorerOnce per year is what the RV dealer told me. I have a 2001 Nomad with a rubber roof (I think). I use Simple Green.
