I agree you should not suffer economic harm. You should get your money back and they get the lemon. You will have no chance at damages for a bad deal unless you can prove something other than loss of recreation. I would sue to get my money back and ask for fees. You are angry and need advice from a professional to help you through this. Defaulting is a bad idea especially when I think there are better deals available.Goldencrazy wrote:
Oh yes and keep writing. You are doing a huge amount of damage to both Thor and CW. I had considered that exact coach and not a chance now.
Yeah...you're on CW's site and doing a huge amount of damage to them...good idea...that way if you sue, especially if you aren't successful, they can go after you for damages...Great idea..:S
Since this post is now going on 14 pages, I would scan my posts VERY carefully and make sure EVERYTHING is FACTUAL and not puffed...that could come back and bite you in the butt pretty quickly.
A loan default could result in a deficiency judgment against you. Also, since YOU own the coach, leaving it at CW might be a mistake as they could charge you for storage fees and/or have it towed to a separate storage facility and those charges would accrue.
IMHO, you should sit down and calmly discuss your situation with a competent attorney to decide what to do in the future. Again, IMHO that attorney's first advice will be to cease posting in this and any other forum regarding the issue. You're in a no win situation right now and that's truly unfortunate. It's easy for us to side with you and say Thor builds a piece of junk, you should be made whole, etc. etc., but it's not our money and not our situation. We cannot make an intelligent decision as to what you should or should not do. Most of the suggestions on here are based on sympathy for the situation you're in. Those sympathies will mean little in a court of law. You have a written contract to purchase the coach. All that's important is what's written in that contract. You purchased a coach with certain expectations. Based on your statements, those expectations were not met. We could debate this until the cows come home but I can't see a useful purpose in that. Best of luck to you and I wish you a positive outcome to a really unfortunate situation.....Dennis - 93mastercraftExplorer II

Here's what's going to happen. We are going to default on the loan. We are not paying for a lemon. About all camping world can offer is to try and sale it as a used one if we continue to make payments to get us out of it. Then they will sale a 6 year warranty to go with it because it is now used. (AND they know it is riddled with problems) Now, y'all tell me that's right. IS IT?
All Thor has done is tell camping world that they could not fix something they should have been able to fix. Well, it's a lemon. Camping World can't fix a lemon.
Why do I want to deal with Thor? Yes, Camping World tried to tell me they will make it right. I have spent almost two months waiting for them to make it right. How much longer do I have to WAIT????
It's 167,000 dollars, I know it's a low end DP. But still, its a lot of money. I don't think anyone gets it.
You do realize, defaulting on the loan will not hurt CW or Thor a bit. It will however, assure you will not own another MH or anything else that needs financing for quite awhile.
Let me put this another way. After all this mess, I could care less about a motor home anymore. 1000 is better in my pocket a month than paying for a lemon. That's 1000 extra I have per month for the next 20 years. It's a no brainer. Drastic problems take drastic measures. I DON'T CARE anymore. - charlesExplorerDon't waste any more time, get an attorney Monday morning and let him handle it, he may well go after your legal fees also. The initial consultation is usually free so you have nothing to loose buy making the call. Don't default on your loan. CW doesn't want to waste money on legal fees either so a letter or two between attorneys might get it resolved for you.
I wish you the best, and you have another "Anti Thor" on the your wagon and if CW doesn't take care of you I'll be on that anti wagon also.

Well to CW credit, at least my local dealer they are switching it up a bit and instead of ordering 3 Palazzo's they are going to only keep 1. They told us that there were 5 other Palazzo owners within this past summer that had issues too. There were 5 units around about the same time frame that had these huge problems. I sure would like to know who those 5 owners were. Apparently they don't read forums or get into social media. - GoldencrazyExplorerOh yes and keep writing. How would you feel. What would you do? I still don't have a damn motor home!
