- G_LewisExplorerUsed has a ring to it. I bought three RVs new and did not have any problems with any of them....I have a friend who can buy any coach he wishes but only buys 2-3 year old high end units. He has great luck with them... with the problems fixed or at a minimul. I just read today of folks who have a '14 Winnebago Tour (400K) and Winnebago actually is working with CW to replace the unit...I could not believe it. I wish you luck with your unit.
I think I will go over to my dealer and check his used DPs....ha ha - 93mastercraftExplorer II

Many Thor owners are having problems with many Thor products. Here are a few Palazzo owners talking about their units. After reading several sites on Thor and other manufacutures QC problems, I have quit shopping and will keep "Hoppie" our 13 year old Bounder...he rattles, snorts, squeaks, but runs like a hose and everything works.
Yup, I've been over there too. When I started to "search" the inter webs for Palazzo slide issues, that was the first site to come up. I posted my problems over there too. Man, I tell ya what, if I could find a nice used Bounder like yours, if I could get rid of the problem child, I think I'd go used. - G_LewisExplorerhttp://www.irv2.com/forums/f121/

Our family and friends are asking what are all the problems. That pretty much sums this up in a nutshell.
- another_rookieExplorerOP says the rear slide when closed has a gap large enough to put his hand through, do other new Palazzo's have this same gap?
- winnietreyExplorerI have two DD lawyers, so I know a tiny bit about this stuff. I Mentioned this to them. Consult is a good idea. In my opinion. Finding one to take the case, may well prove difficult. Unless you are willing to put a huge retainer down.
The rub is, This case seems far from clear cut to me, as far as who wins. Because Thor and CW are going to have an arguement as well.
They will say we are living up to our end on the contract, slide is fine, etc etc. We are fixing everything and it is as new. You have to hire someone to say it is not and on and on, They may well say, the MH is great, you just have buyers remorse, Who knows how they would argue it
Would having an attorney just write a letter help? Maybe, maybe not. I doubt a letter would scare a big company much.
OP, I do agree with you. All I am trying to say is proving it, in court, may be a whole differnt matter. And extremely spendy.
Not to say you should not go for it. Just saying, just becuase you get an attorney, Does not mean in the end you will win. - RamairExplorerI agree that you have suffered and should be made whole. No more or no Less. as stated above CW should take back the unit refund all money and you both walk away. One thing I would recommend is contacting a lawyer and get them involved, Once attorneys get involved it does elevate the situation. Once he gets involved then you ask for what I stated and attorney fees. I would not default on loan cause that will end up hurting you and only you. Have you asked just for a full refund and nothing else? If not then I would ask if they refuse then go to lawyer.

et2,
I am reading what y'all are saying. Getting a lawyer is not as easy as you guys think. I have taken your advice. At this point I am just replying to comments in this tread. I think I have just as much a right to post as anyone else does. This tread will go dead when A. It get's removed. B. I get a lawyer. C. When Thor makes it right. If Thor makes this right. Which I really feel like they can. I will be the first to post something good that could come from all this mess.
You have every right to post. The point trying to be made is ... you've made your point over & over. If, at some point a lawyer gets involved by one or more party, things said are documented. I'm not a lawyer, but sometimes things you say can be used against you if it came to that.
Lawyers do free consultations. I think your using this forum to get Thor to make it right. Getting a lawyer will expedite a resolution. It's your best option. I can't see defaulting on a loan is going to fair well for you. - azrvingExplorer

The RV industry does not care about the consumer or quality. They just keep pushing this junk out the door and we keep buying them with the hope that they'll do a good job.
Someday, a smart foreign manufacturer will figure out how to build them correctly and ship them to the U.S. for a profit. When that happens, the RV industry will either have to shape up or go out of business. I'm not saying all of them are junk, but I've yet to buy a TT of FW that didn't need extensive warranty work right out of the showroom.
You couldn't have said it better. Look at our auto industry.
Taxpayer bailout for cheesy RV builders. Cash for clunkers? Funny and sad. - 2bzy2cExplorer II

No, no the coach is not ready to be picked up. Please don't misunderstand me. Here are a list of items that still need to be fixed...
1. Squeaky Floor
2. Rear slide out does not properly close at the bottom (gap large enough to stick your hand in)
3. Torn fabric on a coach cushion.
4. Misaligned cabinet doors and drawers.
5. Torn Weather strip for large slide out where Shcwintek gears chewed the weather strip.
6. Missing remote control for in dash stereo/camera
7. Entire slide out was warped and twisted when the Schwintek failure occurred. Thor is ignoring this all together. That's why I am asking for an extended warranty when it falls apart in a couple years.
I have not retained an attorney because I will represent myself until I feel like all other options have been exhausted. If I retain an attorney I will lose all ability to communicate with CW and/or Thor. So, to that end I have not reached the end of my rope as far as the legalities go. Yes, I have reached the end of the rope as far as the problems with this Palazzo go.
I might take to youtube. At least I can demonstrate in video all the problems. Apparently that worked for this other dude that had all the same issues. Thor offered him a new coach. The kicker was, we didn't even take it.
