How to remove wedged or shanked bolt
This is a new one for me. Hopefully someone has a trick that works. Keystone put their own bolts in the pinion mechanism on my slides (see below). It was supposed to be fully threaded 1/4 inch bolt but they put in bolts with an unthreaded shank the whole distanced. It's supposed to be a shear bolt holding a 1/8 inch thich tubular steal cross bar onto the shaft of the pinion gear. It looks like the bolt they used fits through the shaft but the shank is too big for the hole in tubular steal. So they pounded it in with a hammer or pulled it through with the nut (most likely a hammer).
Now it's wedged in there so tight that I can't pound it back out. I've let it soak in WD-40 which I know isn't ideal. No luck. I need Kroil but can't find it locally. Not even sure that would work. I'm pounding as hard as I can without damaging something and it won't budge. Ideas? I think I can drill it out by only going down 1/8 inch on each side but I have six of these and drilling is sloppy.
Here's the picture. The bolt is on the right on the cross shaft.
