Roy, I'm always a sucker for a good gadget. Didn't know this existed. Thanks for sharing. Ordered both types and they'll now be in my tool box, also.

If the wife asks, I'll blame you.. I'm sure you can take it. ;-)

Finally got the TT inspected, passed with flying colors. All lights, electric brakes, & brake away switch all good.

If one side works, the system has a ground but the lights are dim then the ground is poor. Look for broken lead or bad connection in the circuit that is not working.
Check connections under the tongue of trailer in the junction box were the trailer plug connects. If the wires are exposed along the frame then checks for worn spots or breaks.

What I just went through trying to find a ground problem was a nightmare. I found my problem was something the previous owner did as well. Now I'm going to get on my brother in law for doing it. He bought it new in 99 and I bought it from him in 03.

At first that's what I thought it was a ground problem. till I opened up the main harness and found wires connected to the green & brown wires.

Thanks. When I bought this TT, I knew some work had to be done. But messing with the safety devices is a big mistake to do. Now after all the problems have been fixed, the family and I can feel safe and that all that matters.

It sounds like you are making good progress. Sometimes the electrical issues are hard to solve. This is even more difficult when someone really messes up the wiring by connecting the wrong wires to various devices.

After all weekend and today after work, all the trailer lights work. What I did find was the previous owner wired the brake away switch to the light and right turn signals. Now to install the furnace back in and we are ready for this weekend. :)

Well got all the lights to work except for the passenger turn signal.
