Does anyone use a convection oven countertop model for baking, roasting etc? Which one holds up best?Liesure Travel Vans Unity CBI would like any feedback on this model and experiences with LTV in general. Thanks in advance.Renegade Vienna ownersI was looking at a 2019 FWS Vienna. Anyone have experience with Renegade?Dutchstar 4369 or 4381 questionI have been hearing that the 2016 full slide has had issues with front axel and tire overloading and also slides that sag when out. When I ask the Newmar people, there is no information on it? I was about to buy one and wanted to hear from possible current owners. I was looking at a 4369 or the 4381 floor plans. I see the 2017 has a higher axel rating - 17,000 pounds and an optional Spartan K2 chassis as well as the Frightliner Star. Any input would be much appreciated.NEWMAR DUTCHSTAR 43 footer questionI have been hearing that the 2016 full slide has had issues with front axel and tire overloading and also slides that sag when out. I was looking at the anthem, looks nice, but not sure of the quality for the price point?Re: Newmar and Tiffin 2gypsies wrote: holstein13 wrote: PSUJIM85 wrote: Thanks very much for the feedback. I am actually also now looking at the Vantana 4369 and the Dutch Star 4369. You say you had your built? How do you get that done? I would like a custom interior or at least have some input. Before ordering we tried to talk to every owner we would come across and we didn't receive any negative comments. That sold us. Good luck with your choice. If you are serious about buying a Newmar and know what you want, I highly recommend you skip your dealer for now. You can work directly with Newmar to design and build your coach. They will then shop it around to all the dealers and you'll get a competitive quote from several dealers. Although I'm very pleased with my dealer and think I got a good deal, I always wonder how much better I could have done had I gone this route. I know at the dealer you can get up to 30% off msrp. If you go your route, do you still think I can get that kind of discount from the msrp? Thanks for your feedback. We made a visit to the Newmar facility in Indiana and worked with the sales manager to talk about things that were possible and not possible. Then we took their floorplan of the model we wanted and thought out every inch of it depending on how we were to live in it. We made our list and sent them back to Newmar who refined them for us and asked lots of questions to make sure we were both on the right track. That eliminated some things and added some. When we had it down exactly we sent a bid request to about 20 dealers and the one that came in the cheapest, we ordered from them. Even during the build Newmar always came back with questions that needed clarifying. We had no surprises and it was exactly as we had envisioned. This whole process from first visiting the factory to picking up our motorhome took approximately 4 months. That was in 2004. It was just like building a home.....and it was our home for 8 great years. Re: Newmar and Tiffin 2gypsies wrote: We bought our Dutch Star new and used it full-timing for 8 years - traveling constantly. We would highly recommend Newmar. You can add custom additions, changes or deletions as long as there are no structural changes. We had a couple minor warranty issues when we first got it but they were taken care of satisfactorily and quickly and not by our selling dealer. We had no problem using another dealer as we traveled. We didn't have to return to the manufacturer. Newmar doesn't mass produce like some manufacturers and they take care while building. We took the tour and the workers didn't rush. They kept us updated constantly as to progress of the build and asked clarification before doing special items so nothing was done incorrectly. Cabinetry was well-made with a perfect fit everywhere. I am looking at both and would like some pros and cons on each. Mainly build quality and service record etc from the manufacturer. Any help is appreciated.Class A Diesel PusherI am seeking some advice on buying a New Coach. I am stepping up to a class A from a truck camper. I tailgate and like to destination camp and see the sites. I am sold on a Newmar Dutch Star 4369 but also saw American coaches by fleetwood. What is the opinion out there on American? Prices seemed lower, but the pictures of the fit and finish were fantastic and the looked well laid out. Any advice to anyone who has owned either one or has spent time in them?
