help with dust cover on 03 ford 350 (swd) not 4X4
Never seen a dust cap like this. It is recessed in to far to get screw driver in it and work loose. "Googling" it up some people have results with putting a hose clamp around it and turning with pliers. No such luck for me.
Is there some type of tool or what do you use??? Never seen one like this.

I'm checking the bearings and don't want to drill hole in cap to get off if possible. Don't want filings in with bearings.

is the Baddest of the Brake Lubes. It's designed to not run or melt out, even under the heat produced by ceramic brake pads. I got some for the our rear slides, but I did not apply any to the pads themselves. I don't think I have ever put "goop" of any kind on pad backings, caliper piston surfaces, etc. Of my various problems, noisy brakes have not been one. If you just want to use this lube on slide bolts, many auto supplies have little single-use envelopes (like the mayo at a fast food place) at the registers. It'd probably work on the caliper bracket bolt threads too...
