Planning for Kino for January

Best route through HMO from the North?
Right on Ignacio Soto to Perifico Norte....Left (South) on Bulevar Soldaridad...Right on 100/26 to Kino (from Google Maps)

OR

Go right through Centro on Abel L Rodriguez and right on 100

I have been through the east bypass four times. We stopped a Fuasto's last year on our way north and visited the Zoo and the Mountain

Thanks

So here's a related question...

Moisheh: this route would link with your suggested bypass to get to Kino from the south. To get through Hermosillo from the south, would you do this, or is it too far out of the way unless you want to go to Kino?

(Thanks for the map, briansue!)

Interestingly enough - HERE maps shows the same route without having to force stops. My first map was from the old Streets & Trips. This one is from my Windows Maps offline maps from HERE maps. Still learning how to use this one.

I am not the authority - I have never done this route. But I like to visualize. And I like fooling around with maps. And I like posting pictures on this forum. So here is a map of what I think Moiseheh explained.

They must have found a new place to get paid! I have not seen them in almost 2 years.

Moisheh, do you still have to be super careful of the traffic police after you turn South at the transformers?

NO NO NO: After the last toll booth there is a road on the right. WE call it the mine road and indeed there is a sign for a mine. You follow that road until you see a pack of power transformers. It is signed for Hermosillo. Turn left. Follow this road until you come to a Soriana. Turn right it dead ends at a scarp/ propane yard. Trun left. Keep on trucking for a few KM's. You will see signs for airport/Kino. Turn right. This is the road to Kino. I don't often give out street names. Sometimes there are no street signs. Or the streets change names. This route avoids most of central HMO.
