We will arrive PV airport heading for Guadalajara by bus. Any tips on making the exit from the airport hassle free to the closest hotel to the bus station. We arrive at night and will stay in a hotel till next morning when we will continue our journey by bus to Guadalajara. We are a couple of seniors but spry seniors.

We tried flying into Guad but the connection was horrible and it took forever. We are flying in from Calgary. We just thought we would try P V this time. It can't be worse than Guatemala .

The bus station is very close to the airport. Like 2 or 3 km, max. Cross the pedestrian bridge and get a taxi there rather than in the airport Parking lot. It will be far far cheaper.

I thought you were doing the vacation thing - we've been in PV many times and will be there in March for four weeks. We've been to Guad also and keep wanting to take the bus between the two, but since you're going to pick up your vehicle, why don't you fly into Guad? When we fly into there, we go on Alaska Airline, but there's many other ways to fly there.

Okay We get it.
Head out of the airport (Elbows up and eye straight ahead and all we ever say is No Thank You)
We are heading up to Guad to pick up our car which is parked with a friend and then we head up to Villa Corona to pick up our trailer and relocate it. But we do need the sun so badly. Been hanging out here until the surgeon said it was good to go. Here we come.

Like said above, after leaving customs look straight ahead and try not to make any eye contact with all the guys and gals trying to get your attention with a free ride to here or there and make your way outside the terminal. Good luck from there

Follow the above directions, but use the pedestrian overcrossing to cross the highway and get a taxi there. Then you are totally away from the airport fees. Driver could be a source for a hotel.

As you come out of Customs you'll go through the gauntlet of everyone trying to sell you hotel rooms, activities, rides, etc. Just continue on through them saying no thank-you and go outside to the taxi line. Unlike Cabo, the taxis in PV are a lot more reasonable even though there is usually an extra fee for the airport. Anyway, go to the taxi line and tell them what hotel you want to go to. From the hotel, they can help you get to the bus terminal.

If you don't have a hotel in Guad already, I would recommend the Hotel Morales which is a historical hotel right downtown within walking distance of places like the museum, the opera house and so on.

And I hope you'll get down to see Lake Chapalla. If nothing else, take one of the van tours.

You should really spend a couple of days in PV, it's a nice place with a lot of nice restaurants.
