Double Lake Recreation Area closing

Double Lake Recreation Area north of Houston, Texas is switching management and will be closing Jan 1st.

We love camping here. Close to home, good mountain bike trails, great staff. I hope they can re-open soon, and that the new concessionaire is as good as the current one.

This is one of our favorite places also so close to home but so nice!
