Fire Restrictions - RMNP

Yesterday, July 6th 2018, Rocky Mountain National Park announced a complete fire ban inside the park. In addition to no fires at all even in the fire rings, charcoal briquette fires are also prohibited. Not banned are petroleum fueled fire devices such as propane grills.

Quite so. First time since 2012 that Rocky has done this. Going up to Glacier Basin next weekend, I had already decided NO FIRES for me with that trip. In fact, I'll probably not have any fires for the remainder of the season unless we get some good soaking rains from the monsoons.
