snowbirding for the 1st time

Hi All,

Hubby and I would like to snowbird in Florida for the month of January. A friend suggested trying out a Sun RV resort. Can anyone suggest one that you have stayed at? Also, if I stayed around the Ocala area how is the weather in January?

You need to go south of Tampa/Orlando/Cape Canaveral for reasonably warm weather.

I live in Satellite Beach and had to wear a sweat shirt three times last winter.

Pick a spit and make reservations NOW. That's prime snowbird season and things fill up.

Can't help you about Sun RV resorts but if you stay near Ocala in January, prepare for cold weather. Check out the averages on weather.com or your favorite weather site. It's not uncommon to have frost/freeze warnings in that area.
