Sunset Beach RV Resort in VA not playing around

We came home from NC seeing the babies over the weekend and rolled in to see what what was going on with the construction.
They had a full crew in there grading, scraping, ripping trees out (a shame) and all kinds of mayhem. On Sunday at that.
There are mountains of sewer and water pipes and all other kind of "stuff".
They look like they will easily make their July 4th target opening and will probably beat it.
Cherrystone, you better get with it or you are done!

On another note, VA State Park Kiptopeke is also well into the water/sewer and electric renovation just 3 miles up the road. The time they "renovated" the drainage a few years ago didn't go so well. I'm hoping they even open this year after that fiasco. It took 8 months to pave the road and install some drainage that totally screwed up some very good sites.

The rest area just north of the CBBT allows overnight stays. Very secure, toll booths and police in sight.
With the 2 I mentioned under renovation I doubt they'll be open in April.
There is Cherrystone if you want hookups, they are about 10 miles north of the bay in Cheriton. They should be open by then.
After that nothing for about an hour. Tall Pines Harbour but it's about 7 miles off of 13.

OK...maybe someone can give me a little advice. I"ll be on my way to Salisbury MD in early April and may be looking to stop for the night as soon as possible after we cross the Chesapeake Bay (heading north from North Carolina). Which campground would you recommend if I want full hookups?
