Newest to Oldest Display Glitch

My settings are for the newest to oldest replies in a thread to display, so when I open a thread, I expect my settings to bring up the most recent replies.  But instead, I have to scroll to the bottom, click on Page 1, and wait for the newest replies to show up.  Then I have to hunt for the replies I haven't read since my last visit.

Please fix this.  If that thread has 2149 pages (as A Very Old Stray does), then the Newest to Oldest setting should pop us directly to the most recent reply that we HAVE NOT YET READ.

This is really, really annoying, GS.

Hey @Wanderlost

Thank you for sharing this with us. The best way for us to update the community is with our loyal member's feedback, just like this.

I just want to make sure I understand the situation. So on the post "A Very Old Stray" you want to see the newest replies show up first. To do this you tried to update the sort feature above the replies (screenshot attached) that says "Sort: Newest to Oldest". This should make it so that the last reply shows up first and as you scroll down the replies get older and older.

If this is not what you are seeing (which I think is what you are telling me) then we will make sure to look into this issue and resolve it for you!

Thank you again for your patience as we resolve some of these issues.

You summarized correctly.  The problem is not confined to that one post.  It applies across every post I've opened, so it is a systemic issue.

Also, when bringing up the most recent replies, it should go to the most recent UNREAD reply.  We should not have to scroll, looking for the last reply we remember reading.
