It's down to disconnecting the Kwikee steps so you might be able to manually move the steps.

1> Is it possible to connect a battery directly to each side of the motor to insure the step motor is not burned out?
2> You may have to contact Kwikee for help with their steps. Maybe a mouse chewed through a wire somewhere.

The power connector on motor is surrounded by plastic so nearly impossible to connect wire leads to motor.
I've contacted Lippert who bought Kwikee out, no help with the wiring of my rig!

The steps are normally powered by the engine battery(s). The fuse could be located just under the dash on the drivers side.

Thank you! I've checked fuse panel under passenger dash board. All good, no fuse for step..

I believe there was a sensor near the door frame that would power the steps to deploy when the door was opened.
Have you checked wiring there? Have you checked for a loose grounding wire?

Thank you! Yes, I have checked electrical/magnetic door lead & all wiring leading to step motor. Including ground wire to frame. All good!

In my last MH the motor for the steps was directly below my house batteries. The acid from the batteries when cleaning terminals dripped on the step-motor wiring and corroded the wires,
Check the wiring for the steps.

Appreciate your reply. My batteries are under passenger step into rig. But, I have double checked all wiring over again. There's no power going to the step motor!

More information; I have no power to the step motor. Checked all wiring and on/off switch is all good. Have replaced inline 5amp fuse, yet can not locate 25amp fuse? Steps are in! Any suggestions?
