Table leg retro fit

I have the crimped end pipe legs for my table and could never get a tight fit. What I did is buy a 2" galvanized threaded floor flange from my local Ace Hardware and a threaded adapter that will fit INSIDE the 2" pipe. Switch out the two floor mounts with the new flanges. Cut 1 3/4 inch off the bottom of one end of the pipe. Wrap the adapter fluted end with exactly 3 layers of duct tape and insert into the pipe. Screw them into the new flanges and BINGO!, a super tight sturdy table now. So you still have the upper portion were you can lift off the table, the unscrew the legs. Email me for pictures, couldn't figure out how to add them.
