FYI

The slide motor to the kitchen slide began to slip upon returning home over the holiday weekend. After inspection, I found the "hex gear" to the slide motor slipping with the "slide gear motor," in other words the two gears were not meshing properly.

When I pulled the motor the mounting bolts for the motor were not tight at all! Also the "hex gear" was worn and had to be replaced. I disassembled the gear box to the motor, re-seated the hex gear shaft into the housing, and repacked with grease.

After re-install, slide moves very smooth with very little effort.

There is a Carriage Lifestyle forum that has details on how to repair the loose slide motor issue.

Thank you. No need yet but I have made a note for down the road.

Welcome to this forum. I'm sure you will find much of the information here helpful.

I'm glad to hear you can still get parts for a Carriage product. Who manufactured the slide motor mechanism and where did you source your parts?

Put locktite on those motor mounting bolts unless you like doing it more than once.
