another fiver option

Just found another option on a fiver for our family of 5.
It's a small 5th wheel with no slide but has bunks. All the kids and ourselves could sleep without tearing down or making up any beds! WE LIKE THAT A LOT!
What it doesn't have is a couch. I'm not sold on needing one b/c if we are camping, most of our activities are going to be done outside.
If it rains, we'll be a little more confined to our sleeping areas versus a general area (with couch) but that is not very often.
I even thought that it might be good buy an awning room to expand livable space in the event of rain. Cooking is almost always done outside.
Am I completely off track here? This is newer 2004 camper of which I won't have to do near as much repair as my last purchase.
Anybody miss their couches that may have done away with them?

I've been down your road. After having a quad bunk fifth wheel, I decided I would rather have a comfortable living area and deal with making the dinette and sofa into a bed at night. Most of the time is spent hanging out, watching movies etc. as a family than sleeping, and I want a seat for everyone. Also, can get away with a smaller 5th wheel. Good luck.

I have read of a number of sofas being replaced with better recliners.

Don't worry about what others are doing, if it suits your family that is all that matters.

Go (all of you) and sit in it for an hour or two. Pretend to fix a meal. Pretend to get the kids bathed and ready for bed when the weather is too bad to go to the shower house. Where are you going to store the games and books? The dog's food? Where is each person going to sit to watch TV (not the tow vehicle)?

If you can survive while all inside, then it just gets easier when outside is available!
