Looking to purchase a new toy hauler in AZ and I live in cali,I'm not sure how the tax thing would work for both states, any info from you guy's would greatly help thanks, I will also try and get in touch with ca.dmv

After buying my Winnie from La Mesa RV in San Diego the CA and AZ paperwork prevented me from personally picking my Winnie from their dealership in AZ. Manager said that would make the sale in AZ and he didn't know how to do the paperwork...sold in AZ but first registered in CA...but shipping to CA as "unsold" was easy. Even offered to pay the shipping and pick it up....no!

Based on the personal experience of a friend, the documentation procedures required by Calif. is a pain in the rear. To save all the hassles and potential fines of not following Ca. registration rules, I would just register the trailer in Calif. , pay your fees and been done with it.

Generally you would only pay sales tax to the state where you register the TH.
