Dometic CT thermostat controller

It's been a while, although I still read and watch posts. Now I have a concern. It's with the Dometic CT controller. My concern is that once I set the A/C for instance, to 72 degrees, the A/C will turn on work as designed. Then as soon as it reaches the set point (72 degrees) it will shut off. So far so good. Now it will never come back on even though the temp would reach 84 degrees. Dometic was nice enough to send us two new controllers. Both, same result. We have two A/C's. So I took the controller from the A/C that is working and installed it to the A/C that I thought had a problem. It worked just fine. So I am ruling out something wrong with the A/C. Can someone recommend another controller? Maybe a Honeywell? Would like to see model numbers or so that works..........Thanks so much

Yes, so far this seems to be what I have found out also. I will have to just find a way to live with this. I did however sort of fixed the problem, well maybe not a fix other than a way to keep the A/C running, not efficient though. I just set the temp to 66 degrees and it will run until turn off the A/C. Wasting energy. All though we need to maintain climate control in the RV for our pets.
Thanks again for your response........

So the upper unit control box fixed the issue? You need a new control box. Or did I read that wrong?

If you want to go with a Honeywell or other home thermostat you would need to buy an old analog control box and probably pull new wire to the thermostat.

Yes that would be correct. The A/C worked just fine with the controller from the living area, and I installed it in the bedroom A/C and it worked just fine. So that is my way of diagnosing the problem. Thanks for your answer.
