i have been looking at websites on 5 wheels, toy haulers, hybrid trailers and travel trailers, and they all look very similar so far.

there seems to be different sizes in each kind of these things. so that makes it more confusing.

I'm just learning about all this, so bear with me. thanks.

excellent info. thanks. the videos were helpful as well. i plan to visit an rv show and some lots, but i want some kinda knowledge first so i don't seem totally ignorant of rv's.

There ya kiddo.
An RV show is the best way to get familiar.

The really big shows are a great way to spend a day out.

..and a great way to spend a wad of cash! ๐Ÿ˜‰

that's okay. i don't wanna die rich, i just wanna live that way.

I think the best way to learn the differences is to attend an RV show and explore every type of trailer you can. Take the brochures with you because they usually show available floor plans along with relevant data such as weight. All of them have advantages and disadvantages depending on your needs and personal finances.

Yer toy hauler is a travel trailer or fifth wheel with a garage door that swings down in the back for loading wheeled vehicles, these are often very large and many have a generator.

Hybrids as mdamerell stated are part hardsided and part fabric sided, think of them as an expandable trailer.

Fifth wheels are generally considered roomy\larger and some models approach extreme luxury for extended stays, fifth wheels can be tall in height (ours is 12 feet 4 inches from the ground to the highest point on the roof).

Travel trailers are very popular and come in all types of flavors, such as lightweight, large and roomy, they often have 2 entry doors for convenience.
The TT won't have near the height of a fifth wheel.
TT's are nice because they in most cases are low to the ground which makes it easier for entry\exit.

This is my take, hope it helps you a bit.

Price and how they are towed/hitched.

Hybrids have a cross between hard sided trailers and pop ups (tent).

Just depends on your wallet and what you want.

Depends on how you want to use it.
