2002 Fleetwood Terra 8.1 No 120 volts up front.

I lost power to a 120 volt outlet under the dash when I was running an electric heater to it. It ran on and off about 4 hrs. and I was hooked up to good shore power. Volt gauge stayed around 120 volts. I also lost power to the front television. I checked all breakers, nothing tripped. All other outlets are fine. I even tried to cycle the ignition switch to see if maybe the solenoid may have caused the problem. Is there another circuit breaker I am not aware of that may be in the engine compartment. Of course all the manuals I have don't help a bit. Appreciate any suggestions. thanks

Thanks for the help. No luck yet. I promise I'll update as soon as I get the problem fixed.

Even if your GFCI outlet is not tripped, it could be bad and not allowing electricity past it. Check to see if you have power at it and then each outlet downstream of it.

Also, on a 240V, 50AMP shore plug, you are actually getting two legs of 120V. Depending on how it is split in your breaker box, you may have lost one leg of your shore power....the leg that feeds the front outlets. Just another avenue to pursue with a good voltage meter and some good tracing skills.

I have a 2002 Fleetwood Terra 32S (V10)and I seem to recall reading in the owners manual the front TV outlet was only good for a few amps. NOT enough for a heater.

It probably does have a separate breaker but no idea where it would be. I hate that outlet!

If you run an extension cord make sure it's a beefy one with good plug/outlet connectors.

Best,

Look for the GFIs anywhere there is a water source like the sinks etc...

I have three GFIs in my 5th Wheel trailer-Kitchen sink, bath room vanity, wash up sink in bedroom.

GFI receptacles will look similar to this...

This MH did not come with an inverter. I have to see if I can find another GFI other than the one in the bathroom which takes care of bath, kitchen and outside outlets.

My GFI outlet is in the front basement passenger side so you may have to look around for yours.
Was the inverter taken out of your coach? I believe a 1500 watt inverter/charger was standard.

If some 120 VAC electrical devices work, you KNOW that your shore power is good from outlet right through to the 120 VAC breaker box.

So, the problem has to be a tripped breaker in the breaker box, a wiring issue from breaker box to outlets or a GFI. GFI's are generally on the first outlet downstream of the breaker box and protect all outlets downstream of themselves.

I tried resetting GFI in bath room and no luck. I have no inverter.

Check to see if one of the circuit breakers on your inverter has tripped. These are breakers that are right on the front of the inverter itself and has nothing to do with the circuit breakers in your electrical panel.

Those outlets are likely on a GFI. Check and reset your GFI(s).
