Am I able to replace my existing 2 12 volt batteries with 2 6 volt batteries and not loose any capacity - or would I have to go with 4 6 volt batteries?

In most RVs 2x12V will be less than 200AH and 2xGCs about 230AH. So you could get more capacity and other benefits of true deep cycle batteries. Make sure they will fit including the additional height of GCs.

Hi,

If the new batteries weigh more than the old batteries you may have increased capacity.

If you plan on running a large inverter then four batteries may be a better way to go.

Will they be flooded batteries or AGM?

If they are AGM then I personally would favor 12 volt jars.
