alternator exchange or rebuild

this is the alternator I wish to have serviced and or replaced with a newer or better alternator. It came of a 1986 Holiday Rambler with a 454 Chevy motor.

I think Lestek is no longer made, anybody know of a cross listing for a new one.

+1 for brand new. Mine came with a lifetime warranty.

I had a Leece-Nevell alternator in my rig....had it rebuilt once and it didn't last at all. So for the price of a rebuilt again(or less) I bought a new one....its been going strong for about 10 years now.

A good local rebuild shop would be better then a rebuilt from an auto parts store.

If you know a good rebuild company have them rebuild and inspect yours. You are aware of how it's been treated.
