Started to look into some water damage in the kitchen of our 83 Pace Arrow. The more I looked, the more I found. I have some pics of the damage so far. Anyone interested in following a rebuild thread?

Then I added a piece around the top edge, all the way around, and down inside about an inch or so.

Doing the inside, (sides), will be a little easier, so that should be next portion of this to do.

Here I have some of the big lumps sanded off to get ready for the next coat.

I also put a piece on the bottom, after doing the bottom to sides edges.

I will say, it sure is a lot easier when things are flat, square, and rectangle, rather than rounded. Lol. No, I wouldn't change it. Even though rounded edges are more difficult to work with, it still has a nice look to it.

Here is what I have been up to the last few days. Working on getting some epoxy on the sink.

Here is some of the sides done, but not over the top at this point yet.

I recommend West Products. I used them for years and never had any problems.

Here is the paper that came with the 2 containers. The only reason I bought some of this is, I had seen on youtube a girl who built a wooden strip canoe, and she used this over the fiberglass cloth. She said after a few coats of epoxy, you could not see the fibers, and the wood grain would show very nicely.

After looking at the video, I decided to give it a try. I bought this a while ago, so it's been sitting waiting to be used. So far so good.

I am not sure how well this will show up, but I am getting ready to use some epoxy on the sink. I figured I would use a test piece to see how this looks with epoxy over fiberglass cloth.

Here is the first coat.

In case you are wondering, this is what I am using.

I wanted to get this posted last night, but after struggling with a cell phone company for 3.5 hours trying to change our plan and order a new phone, I was beat. It just didn't happen.

Anywho... If you have followed this thread, you know what this is. If not, well, it's a copper pipe that was coated with a few coats of Por 15. That was about 2 1/2 years ago, and still no oxidation. So, that means there is no moisture getting though to the copper.

Just an update, in case you wanted one, or not.

When fully folded, it looks like this.

There is just enough room to fully open the doors on the right.

Here you can see the plywood - red arrow - and the groove I cut in the bottom of the shelf to house the hinge.

When the vertical piece of plywood is pushed to the right, it folds up against the bottom of the shelf, and the whole shelf folds down.

I finally got to work today. I backed up a little bit and worked on the rear shelf below the back window.

Even though I had it installed, I had no way to hold it up, so I thought I would fix that.

I added a thin piece of plywood to the bottom that is hinged and holds the shelf in place when the shelf is pulled up.

Thank you fulltimin and PastorCharlie. My daughters are being very supportive. I have wonderful neighbors too. My next door neighbor is a Pastor and he and his wife have been wonderful.

I am sorry to hear of your husband's death. Family is a great comfort and help during such times, allow them to give their support. It will be a blessing to them as well to yourself. Sorry for your loss may God's comfort be with you.

Sorry to hear that, as I was unaware he had passed away. You have my condolences.

Good to hear you have family support to help you though. Tough times are always better with their help.

Always remember the good times. They are a treasure.

Thanks Ro_sie, but the answer is no. We had a close relative with a major issue, that required immediate attention.

I had to prioritize for the week. I'll be back at it this week, though.
