First RV Purchase - Need Advice - 2002 Jamboree 31W

Just bought an RV tonight. It has 37500 miles, super slide, HWH leveling system, banks power pack, new tires, satellite, 4k generator, and some type of transmission fluid transfer system that circulates the tow vehicles transmission fluid? It has a new awning over the slide, and the 20' awning looks like it will last a little longer (maybe next year I will replace it). Its not perfect, but it is in pretty good shape. They put a new liner with some type of sealant on it a while back. There are some cracks around the very rear on the roof, and two of the roof vents as well as around the toilet exhaust. The worst part of the RV is right in front of the sink the floor is a little soft. It has basement storage, so I think I will build a box in the basement storage to hold up the floor better. That is what I need the help with - how common is this and what is the permanent fix? I assume ripping up the floor and replacing the wood. I am pretty handy, not sure this is a project I would try unless someone has some good info on this. I think I got a good deal at $22500. Yes, no?

I'm a little puzzled on the liner that was put in and the transmission fluid pump. I had a Jamboree (89) and my biggest problem was water leaks from the roof and in the cabover section. Rotten wood was my biggest problem. I had a '96 Pace Arrow that had a soft floor in the bathroom & kitchen. I found the plywood floor was only 15/64" thick and no support for 22". I removed that and put in 3/8" marine plywood plus a couple of supports and there was no more sag. I hope you are this lucky.
Is the transmission pump a Remco? That would go in your car with an automatic that is not normally towable. I had one on my PT for 8 years. Thhey have different models for different cars.

For your soft floor you need to figure out if it is from a leak or just fatigue. If a leak you first need to make sure the leak is fixed. If its just fatigue then reinforcing the floor from below seems like a reasonable solution. Hopefully it is fatigue and not rot. In front of the sink is a place where you sometimes see fatigue as that gets the most standing weight. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

More questions - how should I polish the outside of the RV? It isn't fading really bad and the graphics only have a couple of cracks at most. I would like to get it looking nice again. I was thinking of gel coat polisher of some type with a low speed hand held buffer.

Forgot to ask a couple of questions - where is the best place to get insurance? Is there a better insurance policy than another? I have agreed upon terms in my boat insurance, not sure insurance places will do that. I have AAA for my car/truck, should I go with them for emergency services or is there someone better that I should look at?
