how to remove arm rest cover

the armrest cover on the driver's seat is showing some wear. It has a zipper that runs around half of the bottom. I thought it would be a simple fix to unzip the cover a slip it off to be remade at an upholstery place. I just doesn't seem to want to come off. I thought there would be a cut where the bolt connects to the seat back but it looks like the bolt has to be removed. Has anyone removed a similar arm rest cover?

Thank you for that link, dougrainer! My left armrest on my driver seat had a break in the foam inside. I, too, unzipped the cover thinking that it would expose a bolt to remove the armrest...Nope; now what?

This post allowed me to remove the armrest and repair it.

Rotate the armrest up till it stops, then push in (hard) and rotate it farther. Once the pin aligns with the slot, the armrest can be pulled off.

thanks for your help. Will be trying your suggestions later this week.

The armrest metal interior has a metal stud with a 1/4 inch metal pin. That goes into the metal support of the seat back. You push the armrest in slightly and rotate counterclock wise. Until you can match the slot in the seat back and the armrest then pulls out. Doug

Try rotating the arm rest back until you can pull it off. Then you should be able to remove the cover. My armrests had to be rotated well past 90 degrees to align with the slot that let them be taken off.
