After 31/2 years I finally set my onan generator to auto start mode. Never really looked into how to do it, but due to some electrical problem with my on board surge protector kicking out shutting of shore power, I was forced to do it or face dead batteries.
Wasn't hard to figure out. Just have to remember the ignition has to be on when setting it to auto. Took a few times to figure what I was doing wrong.
Now need to get the surge protector issue figured out. It reads higher than incoming voltage and shuts the transfer switch down.
