2008 Tiffin FRED 6.7 ISB. Filled up with fuel at a PETRO in SpartansburgSC and drove towards New Bern when I noticed a slight shutter in the Motor Home while shifting. Drove back to Atlanta and ck engine light would come on during a pull on all hills and grades. Changed fuel filter and the shutter seemed to go away. Filled with fuel aagain, chgd. both fuel filters, drove to Pensacola, and at the last 100 miles or so, chk engine light started again. Drove back to Atlanta yesterday, same thing. Chk engine light again. The on board computer shows no codes at all. Could this just be still bad fuel or has someone else had the same issues. Peachtree Freightliner told me as long as no codes show up and the chk engine light does not remain on, just keep changing the fuel filters till you get clean fuel??? Also I have 41,000 miles and has been serviced regularly. Still get a shutter, but not as bad and RV runs pretty well, but does no run as well as when I purchased it with 37,000 miles.

We had a similar issue last year. Check engine light came on while sitting in heavy traffic for a extended time. Then went off and back on with no reason that I could figure out. It ended up being a exhaust gas temp sensor that failed. I also changed the fuel filters, but that made no difference. Have you changed the air filter recently. I have been told that can trigger the light for no reason as well.
