Restoring Matted Down Carpet

My 2000 Rose Air Class A has ( had ) original carpet that was not so much dirty, or worn looking , as it was matted down, and lifeless looking.
I have a Bissel Shampooer / Cleaner unit .. and used it several times , but the results were short lived...

HOWEVER .... I studied hard .. found a few videos on YouTube... and it seems like I have lucked into a REALLY GOOD ANSWER !

I stared with a Steam Iron - a bucket of water - and a T-Shirt.

I soaked the T-Shirt in water ... rung it out ... placed it on the floor / carpet ... placed the hot iron on top of the shirt , and left it there for 12-15 seconds. Then , soaked the shirt again , rung it out and moved over and did it repeatedly.

I did this throughout the coach... then use a vaccum cleaner on it .... AND IT WORKED !

I weight over 200 lbs. and I stomped all over it ( after it dried ) .. and left ZERO footprints on it.
I did this 4 days ago... and not really believing this worked , I have stomped all over it for 4 days , and it SPRINGS BACK UP.... like new !

I am amazed ... and quite happy that this worked.

Hope it helps someone else that may have this problem.
