Rubber gasket to deflect water on slide out

Has anyone tried a small rubber tape sticky on one side, comes in roll to put at 45degree angle to deflect water on slide. It is grooved so it will catch water and run to outside. I just saw this on a coach at the escapees rally in Gillette, wyo. owner told me he had a leak at bottom of bedroom slide out during rain. He put the above at the 45 top and bottom, both side of slide. Told me no more leaks.. If anyone has seen or tried, please comment. Thanks.

My Monaco La Palma came with that from the factory.

A rubber strip on each side of the bedroom slide mounted diagonally.

Put it on and try it out. Worst case situation you can remove it.

Mine have been on for 7 years with no problems.
