Rv appraisal

Hello I located a 2004 Class C Winnebago 28' with two sides selling for 25,000. the rig looks great online and the current owner said that he has had no problems with it. No water leaks either. The RV is in another state approx 500. away from me.

I have two questions what is the going price for this Rv I have seen them from 18,000- 29,000. If someone good give me an idea that will be help full. The Rv is also priced below Nada, I heard from a lot of people that Nada does not mean that much.

The second question is there a company that I can call and pay to take a look at the rv and see if is truly in good shape. I plan on driving down to see the rv before I make and offer.

Dealer and owner asking prices are often much higher than they will settle for.
If the Winnie is "perfect", it is still 11 years old and AC unit, fridge, furnace and slide mechanisms ,batteries ,etc., may need repairs/replacements in near future. If tires are over 5 years old by date codes, they will need to be replaced for your safety. Drive train, brake system and suspension should be inspected by a pro truck mechanic and you should get an itemized list of rand repairs needed with parts and labor estimates. If near perfect, it may be worth $20K.

You need to know the model, Chalet Series or Minnie Series or Minnie Winnie Series and the model number then go to NADA guides http://www.nadaguides.com/RVs/2004/Winnebago I sold my 29b 2004 Minnie in 2012 and got close to low retail. Don't add any options when pricing it out on NADA. You might want to do another post asking for a recommendation for a person to check it out in the city it located in. Dick

Have an RV mechanic look it over, and check the date codes on the tires.
