Wiper blade replacement

I read somewhere a while back that instead of paying $30-40 each for wiper blade replacements that NAPA can replace just the rubber part on the existing hardware. Is this true?

I figured it out. Easier than I thought. Used a spare set of Adco 28" I had for my truck, drilled the pin out of the attachment and installed on the MH with a small bolt and nylock nut. Easy cheesy. No more expensive blade replacements !

I use the 28" Michelin High Performance blades for $8.47 from Walmart. Since my arms are the saddle type I just drill out the blade J hook.

I put two 28" blades from Costco for about $25 on my rig. The wider arms on mine also have two screws to secure the blade to the arm. With the new blades I popped out the rivet in the center of the new blades then attached the original mounting bracket with a small stainless nylock nut and bolt.
Works great and much cheaper.

Just to be clear you swapped the bracket (the receiver for the J hook), from the old blades to the new?

Maybe I am missing something. I've bought standard replacements before and they don't fit. The arms on mine - specifically the hooks - are much larger than those that you can find in the auto parts store. I thought you needed to buy RV or at least big truck specific blades.

The model replacement I have found to fit are the TV8-32

I have the same issue. The hooks are larger than standard wiper blades. Mine are 32" blades and are like $30 to $40 each. I could easily get by with 28" standard blades but they won't clip on the hook. Surely someplace makes an adapter for this?

I wouldn't trust it...why not use frameless blades, they work better and cost around 25 bucks for a 28 inch blade.

You have a link where you get them?
